I'm one of those people who like to avoid all mention of the 'C' word until at least the second week in December, but I have to admit Wedge's words make perfect sense. I find Christmas stressful, simply because there's so much to think about, so maybe by spreading it out a little I can suffer less (even if it is for longer!) I love buying (and especially making) carefully thought out cards and gifts for my loved ones, that's not the problem. The problem is that like many people, I'm also responsible for sourcing, buying, wrapping, writing, posting etc all my partner's gifts and cards too. So maybe this year I *will* start early, and get all his stuff out of the way, so I can then concentrate on the gift buying that I actually enjoy. Wedge, thank you for your kind words about my crafty talents. I do worry about making cards and gifts for people in case they think I'm being a cheapskate, and sadly not everyone appreciates 'hand-made' things.
